Mr. Magid is responsible for the company’s construction, development, leasing and asset management services.
Some of Dana Magid Development’s successful projects include the Village Pointe Medical Center consisting of two medical office buildings totaling 165,710 square feet, Oakview Medical Building; 48,360 square feet, Nobbies Bellevue retail store, PSI Group, Inc., Headquarters, a Pitney Bowes company; 93,000 square feet and Washington Square Distribution Center in Des
Moines, Iowa; 275,000 square feet.
Dana Magid currently oversees the asset management and operations of more than 500,000 square feet.
Senior Vice President of Industrial Development, Prime Group Realty Trust
1997 - 2000
Prime Group Realty Trust is a fully-integrated, self-administered, and self-managed real estate investment trust which owns, manages, leases and develops office and industrial real estate, traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Magid was responsible for the development of the company’s industrial land and buildings. While with the company, he developed office and industrial properties in excess of 600,000 square feet, led the development of a 147-acre business park in DeKalb, Illinois.
Vice President, Industrial Building and Development Company
1991 - 1997
Industrial Building and Development Company, headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, specialized in the development and management of office and industrial properties. The company merged with the Prime Group, Inc., in November 1997, to form Prime Group Realty Trust. Mr. Magid’s responsibilities included the management and operations of the approximately 1.2 million square foot industrial portfolio. He was responsible for the development of the ninety-five acre Libertyville Business Park in Libertyville, Illinois, which included the development of over 350,000 square feet office and industrial buildings.
While at Industrial Building and Development Company, Mr. Magid was involved in all aspects of the industrial real estate business including development, construction, management, marketing, leasing and financing. During his management, IBD has successfully completed development of over 550,000 square feet of industrial buildings between 1994 and 1997.

working with large systems integration clients. He focused primarily on clients in the distribution logistics and telecommunications industries. His major engagements included U.S. Sprint and Sears of Canada.

In 1999, Bill and Tucker Magid discovered they shared the same unique passions and philosophies in real estate development. The two soon formed Dana Magid Development with Bill serving as Chief Executive Officer and Tucker as President.
Additionally, Bill also shares his professional talent and brokerage services at CB Richard Ellis|MEGA. In late 1999, Bill returned to the newly merged CB Richard Ellis|MEGA with an enthusiasm to bridge the company's brokerage services with investment and development opportunities. His personal and professional relationships in Omaha's real estate community have provided many opportunities that have added to the great success CBRE|MEGA enjoys year after year.
President, PSI Group
1993 - 1999
In 1993, prior to his affiliations at DMD and CBRE|MEGA, Bill accepted the position of President of PSI Group, the nation's largest presort mail-processing organization with operating centers located in 25 cities. By 1999, PSI employed 686 non-union employees, processed over 1.4 billion pieces of mail, had gross revenues of approximately $133.0 million, and net revenues of approximately $36.6 million. The phenomenal success of PSI attracted the interest of Pitney Bowes Inc. and in 2002, PSI Group was sold to Pitney Bowes.
Vice President Brokerage, MEGA Corporation
1988 - 1993
From 1988 to 1993, Bill served as Vice President of Brokerage at MEGA, a local full-service commercial real estate firm. He helped spearhead the company to record-setting revenue profits for a wide range of clients. As Vice President of Brokerage, Bill laid the groundwork to advance the level of professionalism in the brokerage division by introducing concepts and implementing training to the brokerage division. After Bill's departure, MEGA went on and established a partner affiliation by merging with CB Richard Ellis.
Senior Vice President, Essex Corporation
1980 - 1988
Getting an early start on his real estate career, Bill was Senior Vice President of Essex Corporation from 1980 to 1988 overseeing commercial real estate development for many major projects in west Omaha including Westmark Plaza, Regency West Point and The Mark. He was personally involved in the development and investment teams of over 15 projects totaling in excess of over 700,000 square feet.
Bill graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. He is also a graduate of the University of the Shopping Centers of ICSC with continuing studies in Real Estate Finance at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Bill also has a passionate commitment to the Omaha and Nebraska communities. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Boy Scouts and Peace Presbyterian Church and is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He served on the Board of Directors for the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) Alumni Association for twelve years, most recently as Past President. Bill currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the UNL Foundation and is a committee member for the Foundation's Development Committee.
